Microsoft acquires Softomotive
When Softomotive was acquired by Microsoft in April 2020, Grafton Capital was the only external shareholder, having invested $25m in September 2018.
Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, stated that Softomotive would become part of Microsoft’s Power Automate platform. “We’re bringing RPA – or robotic process automation – to legacy apps and services with our acquisition of Softomotive”.
October 2020 Update
Grafton Capital invests further £7m in Third Financial
Grafton Capital invested a further £7m in Third Financial, the fast growth Fintech platform for the wealth management industry, becoming the majority owner.
Edward Barroll Brown, who led this investment for Grafton Capital, stated, “We typically make minority growth investments, but are delighted to close this growth buyout, which we are able to do in order to fulfil the needs of the company and leadership team.”

Grafton Capital invests $20m in Omilia
Grafton Capital invested $20m in Omilia – a dynamic innovator in conversational AI – to continue the growth and adoption of its advanced, human-like conversational AI.
Dimitris Vassos, Omilia’s CEO stated, “At Omilia we are not just riding the AI wave; we are delivering the advanced levels of customer care we’ve been providing for decades, at scale and with excellent customer experience.”
